HAMPTON, N.H. -- Drivers going through Hampton, N.H., on Interstate 95 should bring some extra change starting next week.

The toll for passenger vehicles will go from $1.50 to $2 on Wednesday.

The E-ZPass discount will still be 30 percent for in-state drivers and 10 percent for in-state business accounts.

The state will use the extra money to create two lanes in each direction where drivers can go through at full speed. Construction work for those lanes will begin later in the summer. The goal is reducing traffic backups and thus air quality.
