Bank robbery suspects may be linked to ‘U30 Bandit'

NEEDHAM, Mass. -- Two men were arrested after a bank robbery in Needham Wednesday afternoon.

The FBI said that the men may be connected to the "U30 Bandit," who's wanted for at least seven bank robberies in the Boston area.

Authorities said a man walked into the Sovereign Bank at 695 Highland Avenue around 1:30 p.m.

FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkiewicz said Dimitri Long, 32, of Norwood, was caught leaving the bank following the robbery.

She said the second suspect, Michael Coty, 44, of Dedham, fled in a car, but was caught later in Newton.

FBI agents dubbed the 'U30 Bandit' because he's in and out of the banks in less than 30 seconds.
