Holliston recreates Halloween for boy who had flu
HOLLISTON, Mass. -- Halloween has come and gone, but one local boy got a very sweet treat for the holiday.
Zion Harris missed out on Halloween last week because he was sick with the H1N1 flu, but his neighbors wouldn't hear of him missing out on the holiday.
The boy's neighborhood came together to set up another night of trick-or-treating.
"He was like gray. Shades of gray. He was sick and sad," said Stacey Harris, Zion's mother.
Zion said the worst part was seeing my sister leave and go trick-or-treating while his vampire costume hung in the closet.
"We just said well next weekend when he's better, we'll have him come up and we'll just walk around and just have a little Halloween for him," said Jeanne Haley, who organized the trick-or-treating.
So Zion got to be a vampire after all.
"People were amazing. And he's a wonderful kid and these are wonderful people, so everybody came together and gave him a lot of love," said Stacey Zion.
Zion and the other children cashed in on the leftover candy that families were trying to get rid of.
