Armed robberies in Woburn and Quincy may be connected

Two armed robberies that occurred in two local towns on Saturday may be connected.

The first robbery occurred in Woburn. It happened early Saturday morning at a White Hen Pantry on Montvale Avenue. The suspect was armed with a knife and got away with cash. Police chased him down 93 South in his Ford Explorer but lost him on Storrow Drive.

The second occurred in Quincy. This one occurred Saturday afternoon at Corner Market on West Street. A suspect with a similar description again showed a knife and demanded money.

No one was hurt during either robbery.

Police are still looking for suspects. Investigators say the suspect is a white man with a scraggly beard.
