Pedestrian struck and killed by car in Revere
REVERE, Mass. -- A 35-year old man has died after being struck by a car in Revere Saturday evening.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at Revere Beach Parkway and Winthrop Avenue.
The victim was taken to Mass General Hospital but did not survive.
A witness says the dark conditions likely contributed to the horrific accident.
"Between the car being black, the pedestrian being dressed in black, with the weather being what it is and the poor lighting...it was just a tragic accident," said Keith Donnelly, a witness.
The driver of the car stayed on the scene.
Police say the incident does not appear to be criminal and no charges will likely be filed in the crash.
