Good Samaritan dragged by car
STONEHAM, Mass. -- A Good Samaritan was dragged in Stoneham when he tried to stop a thief.
Police said last Sunday a man stole a wallet from the LA Fitness in Saugus.
The suspect is then accused of moving on to the Stoneham gym, where he swiped another wallet.
When a gym patron saw the suspect in action, he took off after him.
As the suspect was driving away, the Good Samaritan tried to grab him and was dragged by the suspect's car.
Gym members were not happy to hear of the thefts.
"Things are tough, a lot of people are out of work. It's the holidays, and that's unfortunate when you hear of more of these things happen," said one gym patron.
The Good Samaritan suffered minor injuries.
