Winter weather hits Mass., Conn. and RI

BOSTON -- A winter storm is interrupting one of the mildest winters in recent record this weekend, bringing between a trace and two inches of snow to Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
The National Weather Service says the storm is predicted to bring less snow than initially predicted because it is tracking further south and east of Nantucket.
A meterologist from the National Weather Service says the storm is expected to bring one to two inches of snow to Cape Cod, the nearby islands and parts of southeastern Massachusetts. Other parts of the state will get a trace to less than an inch of snow.
Northwestern Rhode Island is expected to get less than an inch of snow, with other parts of the state getting even less precipitation.
Connecticut is expected to get a trace to half an inch of snow.
