The message out of the weather office remains the same (as does the song/Zeppelin), warm weather. We had high temps reach the mid 40s yesterday but I think we can do better than that over the next few days. Take today, after we scour out some chilly pockets of air (and freezing fog), we can easily reach the mid 40s and perhaps flirt with 50 in some cities/towns. The sun will battle some clouds for much of the day.
Those clouds are tied to a cool front that will slide through here this evening. That front is cool, not arctic though, so Thursday's temps won't take a hit. Many towns will reach the low & middle 40s once again. Some wind on Thursday morning will get in the way of that mild air.
Friday does offer some slightly cooler weather with more clouds around as well as a few rain showers. These showers are tied to a weak weather system--a system that lacks arctic air. In fact, after that system bounces out of here this weekend, temps will also bounce--up, reaching the low to mid 50s! Yes, it will be warm for that Patriots game Sunday afternoon with temps in the 50s for much of the day & early evening hours.

Sure, it's a cool start with many of the suburbs down into the upper 30s and lower 40s, but we'll warm up quickly through the day as that sun helps us out.

An overall cooler day, but also a great end to the workweek as highs neared 70, low humidity continued and plenty of sunshine dominated the skies. Now all we need is this to continue through the weekend right?

How about yesterday? The 82 in Boston matched the warmest temp we've had since September 13th. Of course, with a wind gusting past 30mph and relative humidity near 18%, it certainly didn't feel oppressive.

Lower 80s, low humidity and sunshine... would you call it a top 10 kind of day? Only complaint, other than it not being the weekend, is maybe the wind was a bit much? It certainly was gusty, at times blowing 30-35mph. No sea breeze will move inland with a strong west wind like that.
