Unless you're an iceberg, not exactly beach weather the next couple of days. We have some wicked cold air around these parts--in fact, today is likely going to be our coldest day in 2 years as we spend the morning hours in the single numbers and only reach the mid teens by afternoon. That's just the cold. We will also have wind and that wind will drive wind chills down below zero for much of the day. Layers. Layers. Layers. Hey--at least the sun will be all bright & shiny! Bitterly cold once again for tonight with lows between -5 and + 5 in downtown Boston.
For tomorrow.....you can essentially just read that first paragraph over again. Arctic high pressure isn't moving the next 2 days which means the bitter air associate with that high pressure won't move much either so plan on another cold day. Plan on more sunshine too.
By Friday, we focus on a storm that will slide south of New England late in the day. Earlier this week, I thought we would see a lot of snow from this storm but now I think it will pass too far south of us providing only a glancing blow of snowfall. I does look like some light snow will fall Friday afternoon (after 4pm) and night mainly south of the MA Pike. A coating to an inch seems likely with perhaps 1-3" of snow down in Buzzards Bay/Cape/Islands Friday Night. Sunshine & cold look to be around for the upcoming weekend.

What a day! Breakneck temperature swings, thunder, tornadoes in Western Mass....and we're still in late May!

With the snap of the fingers we were thrown into summer this afternoon. Heat, humidity, A/C and shorts - with a hazy sun to boot. But with the sea breeze knocking back the temperatures (and bringing in a round of downpours this evening), there are changes afoot.

Well, it certainly was a great weekend weather-wise until this afternoon when the temps dropped and light showers moved in from west to east. Despite the cool down, the theme for this upcoming week is warmer with higher humidity. It'll also be unsettled at times.

Our fun in the sun ends this afternoon as morning sunshine fades behind thickening clouds. As those clouds increase, a few showers break out this afternoon from west to east, with the highest chance for rain late afternoon and this evening. Most of the showers are light, especially the early afternoon ones, but a heavier shower or two is possible near day's end and early this evening. Highs reach the mid to upper 60s around noon, then fall back to near 60 mid to late afternoon thanks to scattered showers. These showers are brought to us by a warm front.
