A fresh dusting of snow to greet us on this Sunday morning, but clean-up is about as easy as it gets. Sweep off the steps, perhaps throw a little salt and sand down, and for many of us, that's it for this event. When I say "many of us", that's pointed toward you folks living west of Boston, west of Rt. 24 south of the city, and west of 93, North of Boston.
Right along the coast, especially across SE Mass, the Cape and Islands, keep the salt, sand and broom on standby this afternoon and tonight. As an ocean storm starts cranking up to our east, we'll find our coastline on the outer edges of it's snow. Factor in a NNE wind that enhances a bit of that moisture, and that'll allow our coast to see patchy light snow. The steadiest snow tonight falls across the Cape, allowing for 1-3". At the coast, Cape Ann and the South Shore, another coating to an 1" should do it.
A chilly pattern stays over the next several days, but not much falls from the sky through Thursday, other than a few Wednesday snow showers. Friday we will watch for a more significant storm to bring in snow/mix/rain.... too early now to pin down details though.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Quite a few clouds in the sky at times this afternoon, but the atmosphere lacked ample moisture to produce showers, so we made out just fine with temps near 70. Even the coast made it well into the 60s before the onshore wind knocked temps back.

Sure, it's a cool start with many of the suburbs down into the upper 30s and lower 40s, but we'll warm up quickly through the day as that sun helps us out.

An overall cooler day, but also a great end to the workweek as highs neared 70, low humidity continued and plenty of sunshine dominated the skies. Now all we need is this to continue through the weekend right?

How about yesterday? The 82 in Boston matched the warmest temp we've had since September 13th. Of course, with a wind gusting past 30mph and relative humidity near 18%, it certainly didn't feel oppressive.
