Much Better

Posted by Jeremy Reiner

Here comes yet another storm into New England later today. This one will not feature snowflakes, only raindrops. Before those raindrops arrive (between 4-5pm) we have a decent late winter day on tap with sunshine giving way to clouds and milder temps than Monday. Most towns will easily reach the low 40s by early afternoon. Perhaps the biggest thing about today is the amount of wind---or lack of. Huge this time of year when outside for any length of time. All in all, a great day  to take the kids sledding, skiing or tubing (before 4pm).

This system zips through here this evening with many towns picking up a quick .5" of rain by midnight. After midnight, skies will clear out and colder air returns. Slick spots are likely after midnight and into the early morning hours on Wednesday. Wednesday will offer more sunshine but seasonably chilly weather as well with afternoon highs in the mid 30s. More of the same for Thursday.

As we head toward the weekend, the active pattern lives up to its name with another storm taking shape in the central part of the country and eventually ends up on the east coast. You know what that means....another storm around these parts by late Saturday & Sunday. At this time, it looks like a sizeable snowstorm---enough to shovel & plow around.

Enjoy your Tuesday

Pretty Good Weekend Overall

Posted by Chris Lambert

Sure, it's a cool start with many of the suburbs down into the upper 30s and lower 40s, but we'll warm up quickly through the day as that sun helps us out.

Strong Finish

An overall cooler day, but also a great end to the workweek as highs neared 70, low humidity continued and plenty of sunshine dominated the skies.  Now all we need is this to continue through the weekend right?

Still Good

How about yesterday?  The 82 in Boston matched the warmest temp we've had since September 13th.  Of course, with a wind gusting past 30mph and relative humidity near 18%, it certainly didn't feel oppressive.

Top 10?

Posted by Chris Lambert

Lower 80s, low humidity and sunshine... would you call it a top 10 kind of day?  Only complaint, other than it not being the weekend, is maybe the wind was a bit much?  It certainly was gusty, at times blowing 30-35mph.  No sea breeze will move inland with a strong west wind like that.
