No bitter cold, no strong winds, nothing falling from the sky. Tuesday turned out to be a dandy of a day until 4:00PM, then the rain moved in. Hope you had the chance to enjoy what little time we had the nicer weather for.
Temps made it into the middle to upper 40s, so yes, this one's all rain. The exception to that will be across the Worcester Hills and SW New Hampshire. That's where some wet snow mixes in close out the storm, but even there, I don't expect much of an issue.
The rain is a quick hitter with a couple of tenths of an inch around Boston, and northwest.. Up to 0.50" south of the city, especially across southern Plymouth County, southern Bristol County, and the Cape/Islands. That's where a few rumbles of thunder in heavier rains may be heard. Rain is generally done by midnight.
Cold and windy for Wednesday and Thursday as winds gust 25-35mph. Temps run in the low to mid 30s each afternoon, with wind chills around 20.
Friday looks great. Near 40 with clouds and sun.
Something about a weekend storm? Yeah, it's still in the forecast, but looks more of a Sunday issue than Saturday. Confidence is growing that we'll deal with at least a plowable snow (at least a few inches). Whether it turns out to be a bigger deal remains to be seen. Also, the exact track will dictate if any rain mixes in at the coast, or across SE Mass. We'll keep an eye on it, but it's still 5 days out. Too early to commit to amounts.

Heat and a bit of humidity fed a strong - and sometimes severe - line of thunderstorms today. By the time the dinner hour rolled around (6pm-ish), the storms had consolidated into a line. Everyone got a drink of water and a big drop in temperatures - some falling nearly 20 degrees in minutes!

Well, we had a lot of clouds this afternoon, but at least not a lot of rain. Sure a few showers were out there, scattered about, but hopefully they didn't ruin any plans you had with dad. Temps made it into the mid to upper 70s, which is close to the average for this time of year. In fact, the whole 7-day forecast is within 5 degrees of average each and every day. That means lots of upper 70s and lower 80s on the board. Not bad being average this time of year, huh?

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there, and to my dad as well. So what's on tap for the day? Golf, grilling, just hanging out? Whatever it is, all and all, it's still a pretty good day for dad weather-wise. I wish I could say the Father's Day forecast exactly repeats Saturday, but we do have a few late afternoon showers to track.

After 8" of rain in the last two weeks, we needed/deserved this one! What a day with temps just shy of 80 degrees, low humidity, plenty of sunshine and a refreshing breeze. We'll trade those sunny skies in for mainly clear skies tonight as temperatures fall to near 60 in Boston, but in the upper 40s and lower 50s in the suburbs.
